Personal Web

PERSONAL CHILDHOOD WEB:

Ella David: my mother is a personal inspiration in my child hood life. She was and still is a great role model. She is a kindergarten teacher in the Scotland County School System. We are close and will remain close. She has always been there for me when no one esle believed that I would graduate college she did, and told me to  keep going and now look at me.She always had a loving giving heart as I grew up. She always showed me she cared even if it was through discipline. She always made me feel special by telling me I was a smart, intelligent, young girl and I would grow into the same as a woman.

Excellent Grandmother to my kids

Robert David: my stepfather has been there since I was in the fourth grade. He has always gave my mother a helping hand when she needed it with me and my brother. He was a great role model as a father figure. He is retired now and he deserves ever bit of the rest he gets because he has always worked hard to support my mother and me and my brother to ensure that we got what we needed and wanted growing up.He nurtured in a different way than my mother. He made sure that he guided me in the right direction to learn about boys and the things the were capable of, but to keep a level head and stay focus and the boys would follow the success and it worked out well.

Walking me down the aisle at my wedding

Ella Terry: where do I start with my grandmother. She is the nurturer in the family. She is 90 years old and you would never be able to tell because she still gets around as if she was sixty or fifty. She alwas knows the right thing to say and do to keep my head held high and my dignity in place. She shows how she cares by loving me through my hard times and her warm heart. Her cooking is oh so excellent. I love her for being here 90 years and being able to share her 90 years of wisdom with me.

Courageous Woman

Henry Terry Sr.: where do I start with my grandfather he was always humble and showed me the way to be humble and calm. He died and left this world on December 7, 2011 at 4:30 am in the morning. He was definitely like a father to me as well as other people. He left behind his morals and values with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. I miss him so much because he ALWAyS knew the right thing to say and the right time to say it. He always had a shoulder to cry on and he always lifted me up. He made me feel special when he smiled at me to re ensure me that everything would be ok. He was 89 and he lived a long, properous, productive life.

Quote: Lead Us, Guide Us and Direct Us
Cedric Bizzell Sr.: My husband was not there as I grew up as a child but he has been there through the past five years of my life. I love him for that. If it wasnt for him being there I would not have made it this far without his help encouraging me and motivating me to finish college and go for my masters. He also watch the children while I had class or even when I had homework. Sometimes just for me to rest and clear my head alittle. I love him for that and those are some of the reasons I married him amongst other reasons.

We are in Love!!

  1. Shareva, I love elderly people. They are the ones who love us inspite of how we behave. I bet you cannot name one time when your grand/greatparents stop loving you because of a mistake you made. None..huh? Grandparents are a blessing from God. When you said that your grandmother loved you even through discipline, I'm with you on that. My grandmother was a wonderful positive role model for me also. I am so sorry for your family's recent loss. I pray that God gives you strength to use the wisdom he has taught you and enable you to pass that knowledge to your kids as well. My great-grandmother passed when she was 96 years young. She was a beautiful spunky lil lady who continued to care for herself and others. When I was a teenager, she took me in (because my my mama was very sick) and spoiled me rotten. Fixed my bed before the crack of dawn, cooked meals every single day, ran my bath water and brought me to a tutor because she couldn't read. I think we have some very similar experiences with those people who contributed to our development.

  2. Hey Shereva, your story is great and so similar to my own. I have a great stepfather and husband too. My stepfather has been in my life since I was 11, catching me as I fell 3 stories from a burning house. He's my Pops! My husband and I have been in our relationship for 17 years. We come from the same neighborhood in New York but didn't meet until we were adults in North Carolina. I know its an awesome blessing for you to still have your grandmother too, 90 years, how cool is that! Well I enjoyed reading your story! Good luck!
